MRS. SUSAN THOMAS
Broadway Stage Academy was established in 1976 by Mrs. Susan Thomas, a dedicated and enthusiastic dance teacher, always motivating her students to achieve to the best of their ability.
Following an early career as a professional dancer and performer, Mrs. Thomas gained teaching qualifications with both RAD and ISTD, before joining BTDA, a forward thinking association. In 1990 she became an international examiner and has continued to travel the world in this role.
Mrs. Thomas is a very active member of BTDA, involved with developing the criteria for various programmes of study. All this, alongside running the school for more than 40 years and seeing it go from strength to strength.
Learning to dance is a great way to develop new skills, build confidence and improve co-ordination.
We are passionate about dance and it is our aim to provide opportunities to all our students, helping them reach their individual potential. We provide a sound basis for students wishing to pursue a career on the stage.
Over the years many students, having taken their first dance steps at Broadway Stage Academy, have gone on to have their own careers in dance and the performing arts.
We offer a welcoming and friendly environment, while maintaining a disciplined and professional approach. Our teachers, pupils and parents/guardians have a lot of enthusiasm and excellent team spirit.
Safeguarding our students is fundamental. All staff are DBS checked and First Aid trained.
We hope you will join us and have a lot of fun as you experience the challenges of learning new skills, making new friends and develop a passion for dance.
